Why it’s worth going
This hackathon offers finance and business students a rare opportunity to apply analytical and strategic thinking to a real-world business problem set by a major logistics company. Working alongside professionals from Purolator provides direct industry exposure and networking that can open doors to internships or full-time roles. The multidisciplinary team format also helps students develop cross-functional collaboration skills highly valued in corporate finance and consulting environments.
Going in prepared
Come ready to collaborate intensively over two full days, so plan your schedule accordingly and bring any materials you might need for brainstorming and presenting solutions. Since the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days, arrange meals or snacks in advance. If the hackathon involves presentations, prepare to articulate business recommendations clearly and concisely. Bring business cards or contact information to exchange with Purolator professionals and fellow participants for future networking.
