Why it’s worth going
Finance and accounting students considering advisory, investment banking, or corporate finance careers will gain direct exposure to M&A transaction mechanics, valuation principles, and the due diligence process that experienced buyers undertake. The seminar covers how M&A transactions are structured and financed in today’s market, offering practical knowledge that complements academic coursework in corporate finance and valuation. Students interested in entrepreneurship or eventually acquiring a business will learn what builds enterprise value and how to prepare businesses for successful transitions years in advance.
Going in prepared
The event begins with networking at seven-thirty in the morning, so arriving on time allows you to meet business owners, advisors, and professionals from TD Bank and Bateman & MacKay LLP before the formal presentation. Come prepared with questions for the Q&A session at eight forty-five, particularly around valuation methods, financing structures, or due diligence processes relevant to your studies. Since attendance is limited to twenty-five people in an intimate setting, this is an excellent opportunity to make meaningful connections during both the initial networking period and the second networking session that runs from nine to nine-thirty. If you register and cannot attend, notify the organizer at the email provided so another member can take your spot.
