Carleton University Renewable Entrance Scholarships for Business Students

🏢 Carleton University

Carleton University automatically considers students admitted with an admissions average of 80 per cent or better for renewable Entrance Scholarships at the time of admission. These merit-based scholarships are available to both domestic and international students entering the Sprott School of Business, provided they are entering Carleton for the first time from high school or CEGEP with no previous post-secondary attendance. Last year, more than 14,700 scholarships and bursaries totalling over $28.6 million were awarded to undergraduate students across the university. The scholarships are offered for fall entry only, and students must have their complete application and all required grades received by June 1 to be considered.

Why it’s worth exploring

These entrance scholarships provide automatic recognition and financial support for high-achieving business students without requiring a separate application, making them an accessible funding option for strong academic performers. The renewable nature means students can potentially receive funding beyond first year, reducing the financial burden throughout their degree. With Carleton awarding over $28.6 million in scholarships and bursaries last year, the university demonstrates a substantial commitment to supporting students financially.

Going in prepared

Ensure your complete application for admission to Carleton’s Sprott School of Business is submitted well before the June 1 deadline, and confirm that all required grades have been sent directly from your high school or through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre. Note that scholarship offers are based on the grades submitted at the time of assessment and are not reassessed based on final high school grades, so aim to have strong grades in place early. If you’re an international student, verify that you meet the same admissions requirements and timelines as domestic students to be considered for these merit-based awards.
